The Washington State Fruit Commission was looking for a creative agency to add new life to their Northwest Cherry Growers Annual Report. The purpose of the annual report is to provide growers, investors and the press key information, data points and analytics on crop performance over 2014.
Beyond a simple statement of the year’s financial and business details, the annual report had grown to an average of over 300 pages, covering everything from worldwide marketing, to promotions and research programs performed by the Northwest Cherry Growers. It had also grown into an invaluable tool serving as a resource for the industry in the years to come. With so much valuable information packed into the pages of this report, the Washington State Fruit Commission sought a fresh design to break up the data and text heavy document.
iSoftStone began by conducting in-depth research on cherry and produce harvests. Through our research, we found that 2014 was a year of leaping numbers in harvest yield, bringing in high sales and a demand for global distribution of cherries. We leveraged this fact to our advantage, to produce a concept anchored around the headline “A Fruitful 2014”.
We narrated the story of the cherry crop and its fiscal cycles with stunning imagery and illustrations, creating a visual timeline that highlighted the fruitful sales that reached millions of customers globally. The Washington State Fruit Commission loved the rich visual storytelling and complete brand makeover we presented for their annual report.
