Cloud Practice Case Study: Branded Corporate Portal

Cloud Practice Case Study: Branded Corporate Portal

Rapidly opening boutique storefronts across the globe, a well known cosmetics company was challenged with trying to keep their distributed workforce connected and aligned.

Slow, cumbersome, and perceived as a barrier to rather than a facilitator of information and communication, the corporate portal was overdue for an update.

Branded Corporate Portal

iSoftStone designed and implemented a corporate portal that is easily managed internally. Then, iSoftStone migrated the company’s portal from SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint Online, transferring data from on-site servers to the cloud. Finally, the look and feel of the portal was redesigned to express the company’s brand and, drawing from feedback provided by a contingent of end-users, now provides a more straightforward, intuitive user experience.

Savings: Time, Trees, Tempers

The company is saving money: Cloud migration resulted in reduced costs and a smaller IT footprint. Electronic forms resulted in processing efficiencies, improved accuracy, and reduced paper consumption. Processing times improved overall between boutique storefronts and the company’s corporate headquarters. Most importantly, the corporate portal is now delivering a user experience that allows employees to spend less time on paperwork and more time with their clients.
